    DP-C262 touch panel not working

I have a DP-C262 that the touch panel does not work. The ten key pad, mode keys, and Start/Stop/Clear Keys all work. The LEDs all light when they are suppose to. The LCD display is working correctly and lit.
We have replaced the entire control panel assembly, the SC board, the Scanner board, and the EC PC board. Anyone else ever have this problem? Thanks for any help

Try calibrating the touch screen. Power main switch off, hold down energy save and function keys and power on. Continue to hold until the plus signs appear. Touch each one and the machine will boot when calibrated.

What part # did you use or did you swap from another machine? Recheck connectors in the control panel

You could have 2 bad LCD's. The touch screens go out on them.

I've had more than a few bad ones, both on the C3's and on the B/W boxes as well.

On the B/W boxes you can interchange just the LCD.

On the C3's I've had no luck changing just the LCD.

Try a working LCD on the Box and see if it may just be 2 bad ones that you've run into.

3 connectors that mate the LCD to the box need to be checked as well, just in case.

If you find that it's the box not the LCD, then I have found that a firmware update has helped me in the past.

Try removing the two collar screws and remove the touch panel pivot cover. The 3 connectors are right there and can easily back themselves out if not routed properly.

it might sound stupid, but this is what i do first when I encounter this problem. get a fresh piece of paper (8.5x11) from the paper tray, then use the corner slide it between the touch panel and the top cover. use one corner per side. most of the time I see some dust, donuts icing, and sand(dunno how it got there) in those gaps. they will press on the touch panel and the machine thinks that someone is pressing on the panel, so when u try to use it, it will not work. But the chance on two bad touch panel is slim. this method only take 20seconds, wont hurt to try it out.

Are the touch screen and the LCD two different parts on the DP-C625? I will try the paper corner trick, but suspect the touch screen has failed.
