DP-8060 giving J41 after the paper has exited the copier.

    Fellows,

This customer's DP-8060 jams all the time with code J41. The jammed paper is not damaged, it just stops.

If I run one single copy, the paper makes it out of the copier fine but it still give me a J41 code. I tested the fuser exit sensor using F4-000-5 and it responds normal. Then, I replaced the fuser exit sensor but it made no difference, it still shows the J41.

    What could be wrong?

Thank you in advance for any help.

I know you're talking about an 8060 but, have you checked the rubber spacers on the exit door that press against the fuser jam release door. And how about the latches on the door? Did they possibly get bent?

Try running from the platen. If it runs without jamming, you have a gate or inverter issue as suggested above.
If you are using the ADF, the page goes into the inverter and exits face down. Check the inverter actuator for a groove on its face.

If the J41 happens AFTER the page is in the exit tray, the fuser exit sensor is warped and catching on the exit baffle.

Well, yakyitz, the bumpers were worn out and not applying pressure on the fuser jam release door.
But, actually, as mojorolla said, the exit sensor was catching on the fuser jam release baffle and causing the jam.
The fuser jam release door is held in position by two plastic c-clips. The c-clip on the outside was missing causing the door to shift to the front and catch the sensor flag.

Thank your very much for your help.
