[CQ] Panasonic dp8060 First copy has background

Panasonic dp8060. The first copy has background then the copies are fine after that.

Have them run a "test" sheet first thing in the morning.

If it's a one sided copy does it happen on the backside? Had these models leave excess toner in the LFR that would be cleaned when the first copy of the day would come thru. Especially if the last job the day before was a long run or heavy fill.

        I agree.

With some of our customers where their copier posed this problem with every single first copy that came out, regardless of if it was just ran 5 seconds ago, we actually had to modify the fuser unit and added a cleaning roller from a different brand of copier to sit against the LFR to eliminate the issue. The toner built up a good amount after 480k when it was time to replace the LFR. Then it's also time to either scrape all the toner build up off of the cleaning roller, or just replace it.

One thing that may help is changing the Fuser web advance in F5 mode to short instead of standard or long. F5-74
And maybe either changing the default original type from Text to text photo or maybe even photo to lighten up the copies a bit or changing the default density setting. These options may not eliminate the problem, but could make it more acceptable.
