[CQ] DP-C405 Void/scan line patterns on prints

    DP-C405 void lines.pdf

I have replaced the SC board and removed the optional memory with no change, (see attachment). We cannot get the customer to upgrade and I need to find a fix. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this defect?
    Thanks

It looks like a dirty laser slit glass or contamination in the dev units. There is a tool inside the front door, actually in the door, that you can use to clean the glass for all colors. Also look at the developer flow and see if you notice an uneven flow. I had this happen on one color, and it turned out to be the dev was contaminated. If so, make sure you vac out the unit good.

Every time I have seen this, the ISIS on the SC pwb has been bad.
Go into F9 service mode and run SC checklist. It will check all sectors of the SC pwb including the memory chips. If anything on the list reads "NG", replace the items ot the entire board.

Replace the HDD and/or try another SC board.
