    DCP 323 Display adjustment

Where in the world in the 910 page service manual is the adjustment for the touch screen? I've been searching for 15 minutes. The touch is off. Needs to be honed in.

Power off both switches. power on SIDE switch. power on main/back switch while holding down "FUNCTION" and "ENERGY SAVE" buttons. After a couple of seconds screen will come up with crosshairs.

That procedure takes two people. The energy key and function key are on opposite sides of the keyboard taking two hands. There is no way to hold down the keys and reach the back on/off switch. I had someone help me, however it still did not go into any screen adjustment mode. Are you sure that the procedure is for this model? Where would it be in the service manual? I have that.

The procedure is listed somewhere towards the front of the manual. I forget which page without looking in the manual. You can do the calibration by yourself. The way I do it is I turn off both switches, turn on the side switch first, then the back switch, and then you have to be quick and press the FUNCTION and energy saver buttons before the machine has a chance to start up. Just keep holding down those two buttons until the + symbol appears on the top left-hand side of the screen. I've also found that if you're too late with the buttons and you press and continue to hold the buttons the machine will stay locked up and not start up until you release the buttons, then it will continue to start up normally and you have to try again.

Edit Again: I'm just getting rid of all my incorrect information. I was confusing the service mode keys and the touch panel calibration keys. Sorry.

Now were talking! Is it the same procedure? With the both the switches? You can't reach the back switch and hold any keys.

I Don't want to disagree, but, here goes. There definitely is a function button on the right and the energy save on the left and "user name" is right as to how to go about it. Turn off both switches, turn on the side switch first, then the back switch, and then you have to be quick and press the function and energy save buttons before the machine has a chance to start up. Just keep holding down those two buttons until the + symbol appears on the top left-hand side of the screen.

I apologize. I'm confusing the service mode procedure with the touch panel calibration. My bad.

its the original size/ledger key that's not on the color models and thats why the copy key is used for entering the service mode.

Page 186! COPY and energy save keys! I was right!

You had me questioning reality yesterday. I was pretty sure that's how it was done but it's been awhile since I've done the screen calibration on one of those so I just figured I was wrong but I had to check just to be sure.

I'm going back out today armed with all this good information. I found it in the manual (with your help). Thanks to all for all your input.

"User Name" I stand corrected. (I shouldn't have been so pig-headed. I haven't done it in a while either)

No worries. I didn't mean didn't mean for my response to seem rude or so "in your face" if you know what I mean. I was just really happy that I'm not going senile. Lol
