Printing problem.

    Printing problem.

    Hi guys. Anyone have facing this problem before? When I print from pc and smc report, this line appear.

    1. Always include the model of the machine you are having problems. It was a pain having to try to read it on the Windows printer test page.

    2. Does it also happen when copying?

          Looks like the machine has been left in SP/Service mode "line test"???

                    Maybe someone is messing with you. Could be lined paper loaded in the tray

                      What have you tried so far?

                      It looks to me like the lines do not go all the way to the edges. Therefore we can rule out anything mechanical like drum, ITB or fusing unit. The most likely problem would be the image processing on the BICU. It could also be the memory DIMM(s) on the controller.

                          I would look at memory or the IPU first. If all else fails i would check the laser, but looking at those prints, the image is getting corrupted before printing which is why is say memory or IPU.

                            Change the paper down/up to A5 /A3 and see if the line spacing changes linear to paper sizing.
