    mpc2000 marking on copies

    Hi to all.

i dont have a lot of experience with colour machines becouse most of my machines are black and white but i recieve one mpc2000 and his makins some marks on the test pattern sheet. i try to see what is the drum units is giving problems but with test pattern i dont find it out... so iread its possible to print each colour to find out using the menu 2109_005 but when i go to this menu i got:
    2109_003 - patern selection
2109_005 - colour selection and in front initial is 1
2109_006 - density: BK and in front initial is 15
    etc..

can someone please just let me know how can i test each pcu so i can find each one is giving the problem?

    thanks in advance

is it doing this on the blk n white copies and the color copies, or just the color copies?
if its on both, check the transfer belt cleaning blade.if its just on the blk n white, then most likely the blk pcu
also check fuser for flaws if its on both clr and blk prints
Is the mark a "white or missing" line? if so then clean the laser lenses
    just suggestions

its making on color copies... i already change the transfer belt cleaning unit and i still have the same problem. the laser lenses glasses are are cleaned and the fuser is ok... the problem is with one of the pcus but i need to check exactly each one so i can change the right one.

      thanks

It's look like this? See photo

If yes, check the ground wire for duplex unit.

Those are charge roller lines (looks like multiple colors). A quick fix is the charge roller/cleaning unit "pops" off the bottom of the pcu and I used to use de ink (ICS supply) or just soap and water to clean the brown charge rollers. That machine (fortunately) still can use the (modded-angle cut the blue connector) BLACK pcu rather than the (VERY expensive) color ones. Best way to fix is replace the CMY pcu's.

try this part its the same for the mpc2500,3000 should work in the mpc2000
            Ricoh For use in: B2232027 / B2232042/ B2232043/ B2232244
change the charge roller assembly, very easy to do and it stretched the life of the pcu

You've answered your own question. That is how you select each colour to test the PCU's (1: All colors, 2: Magenta, 3: Yellow, 4: Cyan)

Select the colour, touch copy mode, and press start to make a test copy in that colour

That's the way I do it, doing sky shots in single colour will show up dev unit problems

This is what I do as well. One note is once you go to the copy screen, even if you have a color selected (2, 3 or 4), you have to have color selected in the copy screen or you will get a black copy.

When I am checking drums, I typically use the checkered pattern. This gives square blocks of color intermixed with white blocks.
