[Error Code] SC 623 on MP 6500

Can anyone tell me how to resolve error SC 623 on MP 6500. this error has been coming up intermittently. Thank you for the help.

It means one of your trays (1-3) is not connected. Check your harnesses for all feed units to make sure they are solid. Follow the connections between your BICU board and the IOB. Make sure that the are all connected properly and no damage (ie pinched) to the harnesses. If nothing is found I would first try replacing the BICU. If it is not the BICU, put the original back and try the IOB. This SC code is covered lots in the Goose Guide for multiple machines.

Went back to the client and checked the harnesses for tray 1 to 3. They are all ok. The error came up again after I had switched the machine on. the machine was indicating a paper jam at A and there it displayed J003. Any more ideas?

Disconnect the connections from paper feed unit 2 and 3. see if it resets

From Goose's Guide:

SC 623	BICU tray 1-4 communication error, replace IOB
SC 623	BICU tray 1-4 communication error, check harness and connections
SC 623	BICU tray 1-4 communication error, BICU defective

I have had broken leads in wiring harnesses.
