[CQ] mp c5502b color black is missing

the customer prints look washed out black missing when I print that file from my laptop same thing even with my test color file.
When I put that file on a thump drive to print it in the preview it looks like some color is missing. I can print it to other copiers no problem!
See attached "the blue line is from my home copier"

The line looks like it could be a dirty cyan charge roller or nick in the cyan cleaning blade.

Have you tried printing off the colour gradient patterns in the user maintenance mode and calibrating the colour?

I've seen a couple of machines that have never had it done produce some weird looking copies and prints, they almost look like a mosaic photo.

I cannot tell anything from the samples you attached because, other than SP5990-005, I have no idea what they should look like. Can you send samples where we can compare to that we are used to looking at such as the color gradient pattern that Cipher mentioned or color test pattern Printer SP 1103-002. Or a copy where you send a scan of both the copy and the original.

The only color I couldn't see in the samples was Magenta, SP-Print 1103 test color, or find a decent CYMK chart on google (images) and print it, then send a scan of the print with the original CYMK. Random pics are, well...... Random

Can you post a half-sky shot image of magenta only to the forum.

                color cmyk chart.pdfBoltTest.JPG

Here are examples that I brought home and scanned to email ignore the Blue line its from my scanner. First one is cmyk color charts that print just fine. Also have a auto color calibration that failed. Looks wrong not sure how to fix that also what the customer file prints like from my lap top.

The second file is the file that prints fine in our shop but not for the customer. There has to be a force calibration or something like that in SP mode but I can not find it. But it also could be the controller maybe.

I would still like to see the SP Print 1103-Test-Color Chart that has all the colors to the edge, and the middle.

Have you pulled and examined the transfer belt? spin it the correct direction, little white knob on back I think, just seems like a strange problem, it would fail a calibration if the transfer belt was messing up.

sp 1103 does not exist did you mean 4417-22 or 2109-21 they did work in the beginning of this night mare but am willing to get them to you

there is an example on page two of the PDF. The jpeg file is the original file that the customer wants to print when I put that file in the usb reader it also looks like that page 2 file when I preview or when I PRINT IT.

will try to get back there this PM

(Printer SP) not System SP, Printer SP #1 then scroll down 103, then #2 Color chart, it's on every color model.

Don't think or worry about what the customer is printing, your fixing a copier, the customer cannot be repaired. Yesterday I had a customer ask if could run Kodak type Photo paper through his new laser copier!

I had another customer, he would find pictures of flowers to test the quality when I got done, he would say "The flower looks good but the background is fuzzy" The pics were taken off google, Macro setting on camera, looked exactly the same on the computer screen. He wanted to know if I could get rid of the fuzziness?

Ya, Pick a picture on google without Macro setting! OMG Really!

Ok got the sp1103-2 printed and scanned to my lap top it looks good to me. I get the fact that you can not fix the customer and am willing to blame the file if only I had the same problem with different copiers. But it does print good on three others one was a MP C5502.

Had this problem once on a MP C2500. Had to Clear Settings on Printer SP: 1003 - 001.

Use it with caution as it resets all the settings in Printer tab.
