MP4000 SC 990 and SC819

Hi!
I am trying to fix MP 4000 of a customer. Machine was with SC819. I cleaned RAM and format harddrive externally.Also put the SDCARD with Firmware and machine booted up with SC990.I can access SP mode .I have cleared all the memory.and tried to restart the machine without SDCARD.Machine threws SC819 again,

Is any possibility that My controller board is still not toasted.
Please advise if any remedy can be done.

The SC 819 that you got with the SD card removed could be a result of the SD card not installed. If you have ran SP 5801-001, I hope that you have the birth certificate to reload engine settings. As far as the SC 990, from Goose's Guide:

SC 990	Software error - check SP 7- 403 for details
SC 990	Software error - reload firmware
SC 990	Software error - insufficient working memory replace RAM
SC 990	Software error - formatt HDD
SC 990	Software error - if es_event.C in details, try SP5-801-021, Intialize Engine Control Services

Try turning off sp5985-001. If it's still not working, sounds like the controller to me.

I don't know if it is the same but with 2045 this code usually needed drum replacement, also some times front door switch.

Especially with non-genuine drums that was the result when the drum started to age.

This condition became very common when techs would try to delay doing PMs. As a result, Ricoh issued a Trouble Shooting Guide, attached, for both the 2045 and the 2045e that covered it.

Frequently caused laser sync errors as well. Bulletin for the 2045e attached.
