    Ricoh MP171SPF Firmware

    Hi techs,

I have a MP171SPF with adress book error and no access to newer firmware.
I can change the controller board, but without firmware update it would be toasted soon too.
In exchange I could get you some Konica Minolta stuff if you need.

Also I have a problem that i dont own a small 512MB or 1GB SD Card, is it possible to flash the MP171 by its web interface?

Nothing is toasted - quick and dirty solution is do some partially memory clear:

SP5801-015 (Initializes the UCS (User Information Control Service) settings)
    SP5846-050 (initialize all adress book)

System/Copy FW 1.04 or newer does include all fixes regarding SC870/adress book errors - still these do occure from time to time^^

Not sure which firmware is installed on that machine, thats my problem, hope it includes at least 1.04.
Thanks for your answer, but I found this solution before.
Just wanted to be sure I dont see this problem soon again.
Last week they could solve the problem themself by just restarting the machine.

You can use WIM to update the firmware. You to download the Remote firmware. You can also use a utility such as MiniTool Partition Wizard to partition a larger SD card the 1GB.
MiniTool Partition Wizard, the excellent magic for Windows.

Thanks for the answer, so I wont need to buy an old SD card from ebay.
I fixed the problem with SP-5846-50 and SP-5801-15, phone book is working at the moment.

But I also found out the machine has fw 1.01 and I still need a newer firmware asap (1.07 would be up to date I think), before the error comes back again.
