Ricoh 3025e: will a MP2550 toner hopper fit?

I have a used MP2550 toner hopper and am hoping it will fit into a Ricoh 3025e that needs a new one. Does anyone know if it would fit? Also, if so, is the toner different enough that I have to empty all the toner out of it? Or can I just pop it in? Thanks.

I can confirm they take the same toner. Ricoh 2120D

Can you really? Because, to the best of my knowledge there is no 3025E....so I'm wondering if he's referring to a 2035E ? In which case the answers are "no!" and "no!!"
Also, if he doesn't have the capacity to identify something as simple as the type of toner for use in a machine, then I'm at a loss

My apology, it is a 3025, not an "e", and it does take the 2120d toner. So, can I use the toner hopper? Thanks.

Part of what has made this one of the best lines Ricoh has ever produced is the sheer number of backwards compatible parts. I still have a few 1022 and 2027's floating around in low use situations and I'm comfortable with it from the PM perspective since fuser and dirve parts will be available for quite some time to come thanks to the later models just being changes in covers or speed. I'm NOT comfortable with it from the mechanical perspective since boards and other specific components are getting harder to find, though I have used the fact that later models take the same supplies as an incentive to get a few upgrades to people.
