    Ricoh mp8001 jamming issue

I have been haveing this jamming issue with this 8001, ive changed the turn over section three times, but now ive disconnected the finisher and it seems to run like a scolded dog? it was just jamming on legal, this morning i diconnected the fin and i ran three hugh packets thru and it didnt jam, the fin is a sr4030, this is the fin for this model, could this fin be slowing the timing for the legal somehow? Ive bnever had the fin cause legal jamming in the turn over but hey its a ricoh

What jam code is the machine giving you? SP 7504 gives you the jam location info.

I remember a 6001 a few years back. Brand new with a finisher - jamming in the finisher . Tried everything inc fresh paper. My manager went out and said change the paper - it worked.

im not saying it's the paper but don't rule it out.

Does it jam with paper in the duplex when running a single copy or is it only on multi-copy? If you get a jam code on single copy, but the paper actually exits, you are getting a trail edge jam at the finisher. The jam code will tell you where.

I'm assuming you did finisher firmware early in this process? Couple versions of firmware addressing various jamming on the SR 4030 early on.

No jam on single paper no matter what size
I disconnected the fin Tuesday, no complaints as of yet, i dont have the firmware update for the fin, it seems this would be a good thing to try, where can i get it? do you know?

TSRC or rfg sites, onto SD memory card or via computer (remote firmware)
