[Dead] MP 9000 SC 901 and after swapping BICU sc 601

    Hello
We have a MP 9000, the customer changed location and after everything was done (machine to new location, driver installed and so on), the customer asked to connect the key couter (a simply mechanical pulse counter), that worked for almost 3 years on that machine, i plugged it in at the side of the machine on his connector, but after ONE copie SC 901 (mechanical counter error)...so i tried the whole day to fix the problem, at the end it was a blown BICU Board (maybe the mechanical counter was damaged).....ok....now i swapped the BIcu from a working MP 9000 to this one to be absolutely sure that the problem was the BICU baoard, and the machine starts without problems, so i swapped the bicu again to the other machine, but if i turn on the MP 9000 with defective BICU now SC 601 shows up, and the SP Mode is in Japanese!!, what happend to that machine now??, we ordered a new Bicu today....any ideas??

Was the Key Counter the type that has to be plugged in to make copies? SC 901 is for the mechanical counter, not the key counter. The code is generated when no current is detected when the counter is pulsed. Try putting the original BICU back in and change SP 5915 Mechanical Counter Detection to 0. See if the machine and key counter work. Proper SP settings for the Key Counter are SP 5113 set to 0 and SP 5121 (Default: Paper Feed Count) is set to 0 for paper feed or 1 for paper exit. Enabling the key counter is done through User Tools:
Instruct the key operator to enable the key counter with the User Tools setting:
User Tools> System Settings> Administrator Tools> Key Counter Management> ON
Then select and enable the items for the counter (Copier, Document Server, Printer, Scanner).

        Hello
I already disconnected the optional counter... Then i swapped the bicu with a bicu from a working machine, to be sure that the problem was the bicu board... But now, after i swapped again the damaged bicu to her machine sc 601 shows up and the sp mode is in Japanese and i can't select nothing within the sp mode..... Before swapping the bicus the machine had only sc 901........
