Problem to clean the laser optics unit

I don't really know anything specific about your Ricoh, but I am assuming there must be some sort of color calibration and/or color registration that you must do to maintain image quality. Have you done that yet? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Not sure if I got the picture here. Started to clean the 'optical drive'..? Do you mean the polygon mirror ? Then you removed the mirrors ..?, the mirrors in the laser unit ? No, no, no ! If that is what you did, no, you should never do that. you'll bugger up the laser permanente'. Not familiar with spc820 either, but it looks like one of the mpc series without the scan unit. From your sample it seems like the line adjustment is way out, and that would be expected after you mucked about with the laser mirrors. It seems like you need to try the forced line adjust 2-111-003 and 002 (assuming the spc 820 has the same sp modes as the mpc series)

Actually it is SP 2111-003 followed by 2111-002 twice or 2111-001 once. 2111-001 actually does 2111-002 two times.

If you do not know how to access the service program you can do the color registration in the user menu.
        1. MENU button
        2. Scroll to Maintenance and press OK
        3. Scroll to Quality Maintenance and press OK
        4. Auto Adjust and press OK
        5. Confirmation message press OK

Should take about 30 seconds. If either Service Program or user menu method gives an error or fails to correct the problem, you have cratered the laser unit and will have to replace the entire laser unit.

It seems to me that bit by bit (reading over your many recent posts) you have pretty much managed to ruin a printer that probably just needed a drum kit. This model is VERY reliable when the proper genuine kits and toners are used, they just go forever. All this stuffing around with devs, drums and now laser assemblys.....what next!

Thanks for all your reply, to try to remove a white line in the yellow and test before cleaning the exit rollers drum and much more, I tried to clean the mirrors of the laser unit, remove the black box and remove the cover with a dry cloth and wipe the mirror, closed the unit and the print run shows me pictures. Never remove the polygon mirror only clean the mirrors.

Re: Problem to clean the laser optics unit

Thanks slimslob and andy227 can solve the problem in the service menu (Actually it is followed by SP 2111-003 2111-001 2111-002 twice or once. 2111-001 2111-002 does whos two times.)
and the printer is operating in perfect condition and within the laser mirror what he had white hair was having a pet dog.
