MPC4503 sc 549-04

Hi Guys,

While changing fuser sleeve and pressure roller for 2 units of MPC4503

I encounter SC549-04 on 1unit and the other machine works fine.

I have read the manual and it says:

549-04	D	Shield Operation Error Detection
During HP detection operation, HP detection fails 3 times consecutively.
		Motor defective Sensor defective Sensor actuator/feeler modification/defective Shield modification/defective
Replace the motor Replace the HP sensor Replace the fusing unit

any suggestion guys? I appreciate your help....

do a search on this forum, I believe that code means you need to install that fuse that comes with the fusing sleeve.

This happened to me on the training course!
I took out the wrong screw & the sheild shutter arm was out of position. It should move freely by hand from front to back. Basically check this area, you may have accidentally snapped it off.
