    Martini Registration Mylars

    Just a quickie...

How many people regimentally replace the reg mylars on these machines?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

usually between 1million or 2 million or even sooner depending on how many customers put stapled copies in the cassette which damages the mylar

Can't say that I do fella - I've got several of these out with 2 million+ on them and haven't changed one yet.

Having said that, they keep jamming at registration...

Only as needed. If the machine has over a mil and a lot of paper feed issues I check and replace as a set.

I've had more paper feed units thrashed over the years than reg mylars.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

open B2 and have a look at the mylar. when worn there is a white line across where the paper rubs and eventually goes thru or almost thru and causes enough delay to register a lag jam.

                reg mylars

I had this problem fairly recently and tried all sorts to fix the jams, only when I replaced the reg mylar did I have success! ps ther was only 900k on the machine aswell.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
