They work ok in print shops with very few users, but there are problems when used as walk up machines. Schools where all of the teachers use them, forget it!

I have only a little experience with the Pro line. Still, they are "production" machines. As such, they require properly trained operators. If you can do that, you should be good to go. If not, something else will happen.

        Wow!

Are the Monkees still popular in Italy?

Or are you a hold out (like me)?

They were my favorite back in the day, although I was all of 10 years old.

The biggest thing about this series of machines is, if you are a primarily a black/white (mp6000,pro906 etc) tech, you will be LOST on this machine. It is a Taurus (c651EX) based engine with a Aegis (c901) drum/dev unit.

Yes, there are ALOT of tech bulletins on it as it is a clean sheet design. Firmware is key as well as any (factory based) mods that are published.

My first (and only) unit in the field put a million on it within 8 months. To date (so I'm told as I moved on), it has nearly 4 mil. It was installed 6/2014, so little over 2 years.

When CQ fades (as well as SC401), clean out the developer doctor blade (I used business card, DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREWS holding it on).

When you get jam codes (usually J050) clean out the reg roller dust mylar and wipe off the CIS. Then MAKE SURE you have the right paper type (even color) programmed into the settings.

Carry several spare Lube bars, as when the machine detects end, IT WILL SHUT DOWN. The first few bulletins (never liked saying PUB's-LOL), and firmware updates, addressed the premature wear. Make sure the tension spring is attached to each other (NOT attached to the mounting post).

            Good luck on your mission

The biggest problem we see here is that the machines get a jam in the #1 feed unit in where the customers can't get to it. This downs the entire machine. If Ricoh would write the firmware to just disable the #1 tray when jammed, the customers could go on using the machine, running out of the other trays.

I have a big problem with j031, even after replacing the transfer, and sheltered together with the specialist, you cannot solve

Have you retrieved the debug log to see if it has any helpful information? You sometimes have to send it to tech support for analysis. Are there any other symptom than J031?

I have seen jam codes generated by actual problems elsewhere in the machine that would seem totally unrelated to the jam. As an example, I had a Pro 1357EX that was giving finisher jogger rams. While running the machine to see if I could catch which jogger it was I noticed that the copies were fading. Deciding that that was a greater problem than the jamming, I started trouble shooting it. I found that the motor that drives the toner dispensing shaft in the toner hopper was shorted. After replacing the motor, the finisher jamming as gone. According t tech support, the jam code was actually a catchall code. It meant that the was an undetermined problem while a jogger fence was moving. Apparently, when the machine tried to add toner, the shorted motor as causing a dip in one if the power supply voltages that was being picked up by the finisher.

The biggest gotcha is the update from version 1 frimwar to version 2 frimwar, especially if you have a fiery on the machine. Otherwise with a good operator the Barons will run! Got 2 less than a year old over 1.5 mill each, true production environment. they can run well past PM, but if you do this when they have issues do all the pm stuff and their off and running again......................... Always run any color paper set as color paper 2, there is a bulletin for this about jams on color paper..............

On PRO 907 to me had happened with cut cords of the synchronization engine
problems you listed we had cases on other machines
with the problem J031 I have to go see her for the second time with the technician ricoh ita before we have not solved
