The machine is fine But not for at copier center, 1000 copies will take almost an hour...
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

Exactly! So even the smallest amount of common sense should have told the poster that the machine wouldn't be practical in his environment.

come on mister. the guy has not said so, it is for you to decide. It does not matter if the machine can do 5 copies per minute cpm. You are supposed to arrange for a demo of the machine and see if it can do what you want. Copy centers are not all the same and your volume may be entirely different from another customer. I hope when you go to buy a car you test drive it before you make the purchase.
There are many other things to consider when you purchase or lease a copier. If you are not sure what you getting into, then seek help and read the fine prints before you sign.

a simple search on the internet brings up a lot of ideas. just google this below and see some results.

We wont recommend, but you are questioning the mind of a SALES?
That road is dark and narrow, do not tread.

I'm sure the service guys who looked after it shares the same sentiment.

You survived, take pride in that.

No, he's saying that these machines were decent boxes in the CORRECT environment. A copy centre is obviously the WRONG environment for a 20 ppm machine. It's been nearly twenty years since I worked in a copy centre, but even then the slowest machines we had were 30 ppm colour machines. For pure black and white, anything under 50 ppm is useless in that kind of environment.

Own up to the fact that you made a mistake: you didn't understand your business volume, you thought you could turn lead into gold with the machine, or you were suckered in by the pitch of a sales guy who doesn't understand what he's selling.

Ive got to say if you're running a copy shop with 20cpm b & w machine you're gonna need
to spend more time copying and less time continuing this ridiculous rant about what you were sold or you're gonna be spending most of the night finishing off your customers copying

One piece of info that is conspicuously missing: Just what was the salesman told the need was?

Once a sales person sees that he will be getting a very minimal order, they don't normally put much effort into the deal. He has bigger fish to fry that actually help pay the bills.

Don't expect a sales consultant for the price of an order taker. It just doesn't work that way.
