    Richo\Gestetner Fuser compatability

    Hey guys,
Picked up a fuser in the warehouse marked Gestetner mpc7500. Trying to install in a Richo mpc6000. I an getting an error saying fuser not set correctly. I thought these were compatible fuser units. I can not find a Gestetner whole fuser unit listed any where but, all the parts seem to be compatible! I did notice the wiring is a different color (?). Check the upper heat sensor loop, looks the same,, all the connectors seem fine as well.
Any Richo pro's working this fine Saturday?
    Thanks

The MPc7500 is 220v unit and the MPc6000 is a 120v unit, they have different heaters in the fuser, so they are not interchangeable.

The voltage difference between these two models has been a common cause of confusion, frustration, and egg in the face. Back when I worked for a dealer, I had them sell the C7500 to a few larger companies without checking for the presence of a 220v outlet, which then made everyone look bad. The issue was that the dealership showroom had a C6000, which Sales used as a template for the sister machine.

Actually this information depends on where you are located. It is accurate for North America. If you are in Europe, both models are 220-240 volt. There may however be a difference in fusing lamp wattage between the 6000 ans 7500. If there is there is most likely a jumper on the connector that identifies which model it is for.

copierlady, it would help us help you if you would put what region you are located in as part of your profile.

As far as i can tell, the only difference is the lamps, and probably a wire in a different pin hole, Try swapping the wires in the connectors to match and swap out the fuser lamps.
