    MP7000 Low density

Hi, I have problem on MP7000 with low density copy after 100K from developer replacing. I must forced toner supply a few times if I want that copier works normaly but this is not kind of solution. I know the problem with toner MP9002!
Do you have any experience with this issue?

    thnx

Technical bulletin 018. Reissued 6-29-12. That bulletin covers this issue.

Nothing works quite so well that I can't totally disable it by trying to make it a little better.

you should also remove the doctor blade assy. and clean any buildup on the back side of the blade. The buildup reduces the height of the developer brush and contributes to light density.

There is a doctor blade cleaning tools listed in the D059 service manual. A2949560 Paper Dust Cleaner - 5pcs/set. See 3.8.4 CLEANING THE DOCTOR BLADE in the manual for how to use. I have used them on the 60-90 page machines with no problem. Just clean before you dump the old developer so that all the crud get dumped.

We had the same problem here in Italy... Tried everything possible, but there are only two solutions if the problem is the type 9002 toner...... Change developer every 50 or 100k copies.... Or use another toner. We have here again the type 9002, but this time something in the mixture changed.... The problem gradually disappeared.... I guess they changed some chemical component......we had a lot of angry customers and almost 200 machines from the d 1060 to Mp 8000 with exact the same problem. Use the new toner and your problem will disappear
