Ricoh Aficio MP1600 New drum with little dots on it

Just serviced this machine Ricoh Aficio MP1600 and installed a new drum, in about its first 20 copies started to print with a little background that under the magnifying glass/lamp it looks as little dots all over its surface,

I can't install another new drum without isolating the cause of this first.

Did you also replace all of the components: charge roller, cleaning blade, cleaning brush? Did you remember to clean out the auger at the top of the unit of the old toner? These unit can often give you all kinds of fits, even after a full PM. I wish that Ricoh had gone with a PCU for these instead of individual components.

yes, Developer initialized ok, and same charge roller (cleaned) and same sponge roller cleaned too.

Sounds like you probably have a worn charge roller: with new developer and a new drum, why put a worn charge roller back in the PCU, especially in these little boxes?

I don't think that the charge roller is a problem. I never changed the charge roller, only clean it, and I never had a problem.

What is TD Sensor Output Value(Vt and Vtref) SP 2-220?

If its done over 60K, change all components in the PCU area and initialize.
That should solve your problem. Ricoh advice's all parts to be replaced at 60K, not individually.
