    Firmware Update Via USB?

Hi, I keep on losing or mislaying my SD cards, I just wanted to know if I have the Firmware on a USB stick can I just Login to the copier via the web server way, and go to Firmware and choose the Firmware on the USB stick in the computer I am using to login into the Copier system?

Do I need to have anything special on the USB stick like them in a Romdata folder or as a Package.? I was going to do this onto a MP c5502 and Mp c8002

    Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can push frimware via the web interface. You have to use the remote frimware version, that's the rfu file type.

I always keep an SD card in the SD slot on my laptop. That way I always know where it is. If it is not there, it is in the last machine I updated firmware on.

I usually remove java cards from any machine that's not using it & use them for firmware, I label each card with a machine model number & keep the firmware on each up to date saves a lot of time downloading over & over again!
