    ricoh 2035 dont work

I have remove the scanner unit (whole the upper part of the machine)to be able to change a sensor after the fuser, and when i put it back , the machine is half death. I have OK the upper green light on the display but the other light under it, both with the display, are death.I have replace the display-same thing. I have checked the resistances on the power board, are OK. I have changed the high voltage board, same thing. I suppose is on the BICU board ?There are some flashes on the BICU board but i am not sure if is working properly, and it is the only logic place where i have worked pushing on and back the scanner cable...I realy do not want to change all the boards...
    Some ideeas ?

Odds are that you did not get the scanner connection reconnected properly. Probably a bent pin or more in the connector. If you are really good, you can straighten them with a jewelers screw driver and/or a very small needle nose pliers. If you break a pin, you will have to replace the harness. Were you trying to correct a fusing exit jam or a machine exit jam. If it was a fusing exit jam, the sensor is located in the guide plate at the top of the vertical transport (right jam door). This sensor frequently fails due to the heat from the fusing unit.

After you check what slimslob said, pull the scanner off again and make sure the bin full sensor's wiring harness isn't shorting to the exit roller shaft, that happened enough that I think there was even a tech bulletin. Most of the time that wiring harness ends in an empty connector, so you can usually reroute it as you see fit, although you probably will need to tape up the part where the insulation has worn off. As that wiring harness carries 5VDC, all manner of weirdness can happen if it shorts out.
That's a pretty heavy scanner to be carrying around, don't do that any more than you have to. When you have the scanner off that machine, lube the solenoid linkages and roller bushings in the exit area if you have a decent high temp oil, and check the condition of the noise reducing pads there in case they are failing.

You must reassembly again from the start and you will find the solution

Thank you. I will try to check the pins from the BICU board, cause i have changed the scanner with a functional one from another machine and the deffect remain.
Regarding the sensor, when i have a paper block in the fuser- after i remove the paper, the sensor comes not back at normal. It comes back only if a make a memory clear...So i have change it, and after i solve the problem with the scanner, i will see if its work or not.

Pretty sure a RAM clear is not the way to fix it..........

The bin full sensor has nothing to do with the fuser.

It will certainly end all future attempts to repair. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
