    [Misc] SP8200 vs MP5002

    Hey guys,

    I have a complete M-kit for the SP8200 printer, fuser, transfer belt and drum. I would like to rebuild these units and have them on hand as i have a bunch of MP5002's in very ignorant places and being able to swap out units would be awesome.

    I checked in the Product support guide and the drum, fuser rollers etc are all the same. The parts guide shows the same harness and lamps in the fuser.
    Has any body ever tried installing these customer replaceable units into the MP5000 series and did they work?

      Yes i've been using the SP fuser units on a few MPC models, mpc3002, mpc3003, mpc4500, mpc300/400
      its quite easy to convert, depending on what model, just compare the old & new units, usually its just swapping round a jumper.

      The SP fuers are a lot cheap than the MPC units.

          We use the SP8200 M/kits all the time .Its only the 02 that need to change part of PCU the Dev holding unit, you cant close front cover you have to get M/c to load Dev first then replace it with front cover of old PCU

              He's talking about the B/W mate.
              We use the SPC830dn kits for pcdu as well as for fusers on the colour machines and we use the SP820dn kits for the B/W's
              Swap the td sensors on the 830 pcdu and just swap the entire connector plate for the fusers....15 mins later and you're out the door
