[CQ] Charis Pro C5100 cleaning unit filling

Hi there. I have a Charis Pro c5100 which keeps backing up waste toner under the cleaning brush every 2000-3000 pages. The waste auger is clear, there is no blockage in the waste system of any kind, the cleaning unit is turning ok yet the seal below the brush fills up and drops on the prints.
This only started about 2 months ago & the machine is 16 months old- been ok till now. All PM items are within life, firmware is up to date & Ricoh haven't heard of any problem.
The cleaning unit is driven by the same motor as the PTR and the paper transport which we have ruled out as there is no jitter or print quality defect. The prints are not overtoned. There are no SC codes logged.

Any help appreciated.

I do not work on the Pro C5100, but have had a similar problem with the PCUs on the MP C6501. Cause was an extremely worn lubricant bar. It the ITB cleaning unit has a lube bar, check it.

Have fitted complete new ITB cleaning unit which has the end seal mod already fitted- same problem.

in your own new thread state the following:

page counts on ALL PM parts

have you cleaned the machine. laser glass.. transfer section.. drums/devs

copy/print

who maintains the unit
