Can i transfer controller from an Af 1515 mf o an af 1515PS? And if i can what's the difference ?

First off service documentation does not show a Ricoh model Aficio 1515SP. The is a Lanier LD015SPF which is the same machine as the Aficio 1515MF.

There was 3 types the 1515f, 1515mf, and 1515ps.
Fax, Multi function and Print Scan.

I think if you add the f to the ps you get a mf.
So you could loose the f.

Product Support Guide shows only a 1515 , 1515MF and 1515f. The 1515 is a basic model, copy only.
. The 1515f has copy and fax only and cannot add print/scan. The basic model doesn't have a controller box.

While the factory 'option" to add Print/ scan is not available. All that is required is to swap over the circuitry, and the extra components of the operation panel from a used machine to make a basic model into an MF. I did it myself several years ago.
...Also did the same thing on an MP161

But the basic model can be updated. It is the fax model that can not.
