Hi going to a machine tomorrow which keeps displaying "Shutting down",latest firmware already installed-any idea's?

I have these models but never encountered this issues so far. Try checking the main switch. You know this are tact switch and any misalignment can press the button and shuts down the machine. The same happened on my MP C 3003 after removing the front and top cover to install the card reader and putting it back the button got stuck and the machine was shutting down. That's all I can think of for now. -

As I don't work on anything that new, this may be the stupidest suggestion posted on this thread.
Still, are all the power saver settings in "User Tools" set properly?
Sorry, but I had to ask as I have seen them set to some pretty unrealistic values back in the day. That never caused an issue exactly like you described in the initial post, but a couple were kind of similar.Comment

Bu default power save is set to 60 seconds but this will never shut the machine down as then it wont print or receive faxes!

RESOLVED-Turned out to be bad operation panel,fitted new ,booted straight up no problems,the old one would show the android figure on his side in a yellow jacket with a red cross through him when entering sop service mode-expensive fix!Comment

Thanks for the update! Maybe there is a recovery option for the ops panel like any other tablet a factory default reset etc then u can save the old panel for a spare!Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!
