    MP C305 firmware?

    Hi!

I have a MPC305 bought on auction. There is no support contract and it have passed a one year guarantee.
Is there any way to retrieve the firmware in order to update it to 1.06 (AirPrint). I currently have 1.05?

    Best regards,
    Ulf

Ok, thanks! I will look it up. Even if the printer was original purchased in another country? Is there no way to get this online?

Ricoh does not offer firmware to the general public in any region that I'm aware of. It is possible to brick a unit by installing the wrong files and therefore best left to someone who should be in the know, or at least you can then put the onus onto the service provider should something go wrong.

There are a few who openly share the firmware files, if you are lucky maybe one of them will pass by and offer it.

Ok! I understand. Thank you for your fast respons,

Of course, I will take that risk. The printer came cheap and if it breaks down it's not a big deal.
I've updated firmwares on devices before so I have some experience.

So if anyone would be kind to send it to me I would be pleased.

          Have a nice day!
          Best regards,

Thanks. Do you know if there are any other known issues solved with the latest firmware version?

After firmware update work with windows 10 scan to folder also.

If is second hand you must make the modifications in the hooper like is described in tehnical buletin RD117051b to avoid depleted toner message when your toner is full with powder

Could you send me a link to the latest firmware for the Ricoh MP C305, please. There is no way to contact Authorized Ricoh Dealer. This is my personal device, old enough not to worry about its guarantee, etc. I've got problems with scaning to folder on windows 10. I've updated firmwares on Ricoh devices before, so I understand what I do. Have a nice day! Best regards.

I could send you a link but unless you are an authorized Ricoh in North America, it won't do you any good.

Since this is one of Ricoh's worst performing copiers that they have released in recent years, do yourself a favour and dump it then buy one from a local dealer who can support it. It will save you a lot of tears and anguish in the long run.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.
