[Jamming] MPC2551 Dog Ear Corners on A5

    Hi All,

I've got an MPC2551 its in great condition, only around 100k but from tray 2 it turns the corner over, under the corner is no image so it must be before fuser. I put A4 paper in tray 2 & it jammed the first few sheets. Fault is a bit intermittent. I've checked the paper path no broken guides or obstructions etc.

I've ordered a new feed roller & friction pad but i'm not confident that will fix it.

Anyone seen this before? only happens from tray 2.

On the second tray door make sure the guide piece the black part that flaps open inside the door is in place, they pop out on the front side but stay in position enough to trigger the door closed switch and operate but it is sitting in there at an angle, i don't much trouble with this model besides the growling fuser noise most problems are simple ones.

Thank you i'll check that when I go back.
I agree a good machine in general just the fuser noise but most customers get used to it!
I do have another 2551 that jams first copy every morning without fail, paper hits the fuser then looks back towards the transfer belt.

If there is no image under the folded corner, the fold is occurring before the PTR. Check that the lift plate in the tray is not warped slightly on the side where the folding is happening. I have also seen the bottom 4 or 5 sheets of paper in the stack with corners curled over lift that corner of the stack and cause problems.
