Is there a maintenance kit for this unit??? If so part number?
The thing asks for a kit...
We have always just orderd and replaced drum, dev, blade, rollers etc.
I'm sick of all the mess.
Is there an easy way out???

It depends what your local operating company has decided, some areas have a PM kit but others don't.
Here in the UK we change the individual parts and I believe the US have complete PCUs they can fit if they want.
You can always switch off the message in Sp. 5-501-001 set to 0

The SP 8100DN is really a glorified AF1045 (printer version)

There are 2-150K PM kits available:

402605 Maintenance Kit A (contains Fuser Unit; Dev/OPC Unit; Transfer Unit).
      402606 Maintenance Kit B
If you order individual parts the AF 1045 parts will work (fuser themistors have a different number).

What Gary says is correct but in UK the kits are not available. Maybe they are in SA.
