    MPC5502 shaded line in scan

    201605310818_0001.jpg check out this line
    its not in the print and it is in both doc feed and on the glass?? anyone seen this before? I did clean all the mirrors and the lamp

    That one has memory written all over it.

    Try different scanning resolutions to see if it changes. If there is a memory problem, it most likely will.

    If it does, try reseating the RAM, and replace if required.

      Check and clean the white read strip and the lead edge of the glass underneath it, had dirt in that area cause similar fault before

        OK i adjusted the dpi in the scan and here are the results
