[Error Code] MPC6502 SC515-002 Duplex unit error

Hi All,

I have an on going fault with a RICOH MPC6502 with an error code of SC515-002 which is related to the duplex unit. Its seems to jam halfway through a duplex job.
So far Iv cleaned through the duplex unit free of any spilt toner or paper dust. Iv added the modifed black mylar guides to the exit unit and duplex.
any help would be much appriciated.

I have seen the jogger end fences in the duplex unit stick, causing them to not move to home position. I have also had the actual jogger motor go bad.

I have had a mpc6502 that kept having dplex sc in the end it turned out to be a small piece of paper in one of the 2 black connectors on the dplex I took a photo on my phone to see it to sav e removing the connector firs it was right at the back of the connector

Im leaning towards the jogger fence as there is a bulletin on ricoh tier 2 site regarding this error code. Will have a play and let people know the results.

Did you find a fix for the SC515-02 error code. I have a 6502 that is having the same problem. My machine is running 35K per month now has 2.0 million on it. The code pops up randomly.

The stepper motor (D1364544) gets toner/dev dropped on it and goes bad.

This motor controls right hand rollers movement.

I had to go back a while later to replace the left hand side (sc515-01) as well, so replace both!

Thanks for the quick reply. I already have the motor on order. Should be in next week sometime. The customer is closed for he Holidays and won't reopen until Jan 3rd. So I have plenty of time to get it in. Merry Christmas to all.
