First of all you need to set the Functions that will need a Code. You can make that on the webinterface (admin) under "Configuration" --> "User Authetification management".

Once you set what functions will need a Code you set the Code in The Addressbookentry of the user. Also there you have to set the Code and then specify the functions he will need this code.

If you only want to delete the code you can make that also in the Addressbook. But don`t forget to take away not only the code but also the functions that would use a code.
