[Misc] Ricoh MPC3002 Scan to Windows 10

    Hello all-

I was hoping someone might know why i having a problem setting up smb scan to multiple windows 10 workstations. I can scan to windows 7 with no problem. I can see the computers when i browse, but when i try to login it gives me an authentication error. I was wondering if it has anything to do with the username having a space? I have updated all the firmware as well (same results).

have you loaded the custom firmware for scanning to windows 8? also, win 8 and 10 require username and password

Telnet in to the NIC on the machine and set smb client port to 445.

Make sure sharing is on under advanced sharing settings on the computer.

A work around is to select 'store on hdd' on scan screen on MFP and create a link through the WIM to doc server and customer can download scans from machine and can even password protect the scans. Can set docs to auto delete after a few days or customer can delete them as they take them off hdd. No authentication or forced network sharing needed. OLD school work around...

I would say yes. I usually create a scan folder on the root directory of the HDD and a user named scanner with a password of scanning and give the user full rights to the scan folder.

          Agree with LNorris.
Update Network Support FW and System Copy FW and you will be a for away. If this has been done also check the clients Anti-Virus, you may have to add the SMB port to the exclusion list which originates from the printers IP.

          Regards,
