[Dead] MPC 4000 controller in a MPC 2050??????

Have a customer that has a 2050 that he says was blown by Comcast through the network line.

Went to swap the Controller boards and board in the machine looked nothing like what I had brought from another 2050.
Board looks almost exactly like MPC 4000.
Don't want to put in the 4000 board and blow it with other boards.

    Anybody run into this????

Board pulled from shop\ Board pulled from machine

Compared to MPC 4000 board in shop looks identical down to chip numbers. The only difference is connector to fax board speaker. MPC 4000 has one, the other board doesn't.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

        False alarm.

Some A$$hole switched front covers when they sold it.
        Machine is MPC 2051.
