    Ricoh Aficio 1035 Door Open Indicator

    What would cause this copier to periodically beep, indicating that a door is open but a door is not open? Thank you for any help possibly.

      defective switch or fuse (BCU)

          If the machine is in a high dust location, replace all the little push button door switches. I have even had a flaky harness in the interchange unit going to the door switch for door C.

              I agree. Seen it many times.
              Why do they call it common sense?

              If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
