Ricoh MPC 3002 Double Side jamming

I have a Ricoh MPC 3002 which gives up random double sided jams. Frequency of the jam is random can be at the start of a double sided run or 100-200 pages into a run. The jam is always the same (J001) Paper at Rego, paper in fuser, paper in Duplex. When printing out a SMC it doesn't give a jam location it just records the jams as a Power on Jam.

    Things I've tried

    Laser
    Door Switches
    Fuser
    Interchange unit
    PSU
    High Voltage Board

Is there a Mod or firmware fix for double sided jamming on this model?

Engine firmware is currently at v1.02.04 D1425116D

Check main switch and monitor AC supply.

Inspected the guide doesn't look bent, they have the metal bar inside to stop the warping problem the earlier mpc models had.

Just tried a whole side door from another machine(which doesn't seem to have the jam problem), still got the same random power on jam issue.

Since it show as a J001, you have a flaky door interlock switch somewhere. Since it only happen during duplex copying , it is probably the small push switch for the right jam access door.

You are running with the original firmware, the latest firmware says this: Margin improvement for some sensor detect errors caused by electrical noise.

Probably worth the time to go ahead and get all of the firmware up to the latest. Even if it does not help, it couldn't hurt.
