    Ricoh MP C3300 latest firmware

    Hello,

    I'm new to the forum. I'm playing around with a Ricoh MP C3300, I want to have the latest firmware available, so I can have fun and enable things like Google Cloud Printing.

    System/Copy version is 1.23, PartNumber D0255562T. Serial Number starts with V158701...

    I can post more info on request if needed.

    I'm just asking for a firmware, I don't want to start a flame war! (I've read other posts)

      Google cloud printing is not a firmware issue. It is a JAVA APP and might not be available for the MP C3300. If the MFP does not have JAVA, you will have to purchase it. The Cloud APP might also have to be purchased or at least purchase the licensing.

              See if there is an "Extended Features" option in User Tools

                  Nope! There isn't only Copier, Printer, Scanner features.

                  Any idea on the fw upgrade to get it compatible with MacOS?

                      To scan or to print. The latest firmware will correct an Unable to scan to OSX versions 10.7 and 10.8. Later versions of OSX may require additional software on the MAC as Apple has discontinued support for SMB. There are other threads that will have the software that you will need. You might want t consider using FTP scanning.

                      Even with the latest firmware you will nit get the features of the newer models. Firmware updates do not add features, they merely correct problems with existing features and problems caused by OS changes. As an example, the MP C3300 will not support scan to email if the SMTP server requires TLS or SSL.
