    Factory Reset

    Hello Copier nerds,

Currently my company has bought 2 used Ricoh Aficio MP301spf
during the installation process i came across a problem.I need to get into the web application of the mfp but its asking for a username and password, the following password i have tried in the web application are

    username: admin
    password: blank

    username: admin
    password: password

    username:admin
    password: admin

I have also came across with supervisor and password blank, which it does log me in with success. but cant do anything with it,Just gives me Program/change administrator. From there i try to change administrator 1 but no luck, I have also tried selected administrator 2 and adding my own password just to work around it, but cant even click on admin2.

I have entered the service sim mode with reset,reset,1,0,7,c but dont see a option for factory reset
The bottom line for the post is to find a option where i can completely wipe everything from the machine

    any feedback would be appreciated

    thanks

    Re: Factory Reset

If you can login with supervisor, that is all that you need. Supervisor can do one thing and one thing only, change the password for admin.

If you don't get a fix with supervisor, the only way is ->
print out all sp data, replace NV ram and put SP data back in...

The trick when using Supervisor to reset the admin password is to click OK twice.
          Once after resetting the password.
The second time to save the change.
Then logout and log back in as admin.
Once you're logged in as admin, then you can create more Administrators.

If supervisor log in is also password protected contact the people you purchased it from. If they are ethical and competent they should be able to tell you.

If you read his entire first, you would have noticed that he was able to login as supervisor.

Why? He has already said that he can get in as supervisor. 5846-46 is only needed when someone has also changed the supervisor password.
