Those doors are kind of crappy. I used to put some electrical tape where the hook from the door latches to the frame. I would also beef up the interlock switch actuator, to make better contact with the interlock.
Easy fix. There is an opening near the front frame side on the right of the machine that hold the door interlock. The metal actuator gets bent and doesn't fully activate the switch. I just use a small screwdriver and bend it back out slightly so the tab on the right door pushes it in further.

Customers are rarely so kind. You often have the choice of either supporting the machine or losing them as a customer, at least until you can no longer get parts for the machine.
Too many people look at MFPs like they do their washing machine or stove "But it's only 5+ years old!" it's an electronic device, not an appliance.
