    [Error Code] MPC2051 SC 542

    Hello everyone.
On this machine I have this code, sc542, error every two days.
I replaced the electric battery but the problem remained.
I noticed, in sp mode, which SP1-132-012 gives me an outlier, that is 5V when it should be 240V.
I can not understand what is due.
    Thank you.

what service manual are you reading? battery? SP 1132 only has one setting, it is for heater control method.

11036-012 is verification and the reported value is 5Volt
On other machines is 220-240 Volt

SC 542 is a common error when the machine is too cold to reach minimum temperature within 24 seconds. Does the error normally occur first thing in the morning? If so does the room temperature drop below 16 C for 2 hours or more over night?

Like "slimslob" said, this is a common error!!!
If this is a persistent problem I suggest you to replace all temperature sensors (thermistors, Thermostats, Thermopile...). They are cheap components and over time suffer from much wear.

The following SPs below are desgined for the factory use only. Do not change the adjusted settings.

So I can change these if I need too?

                Sorry, I couldn't resist!

My favorite is when Ricoh comes out with a bulletin telling you to change one of those settings or to "adjust" it until the problem is solved. Really gives me that "oh boy here we go" feeling.

Good evening to all, in Italy 20:20.
Given that I have replaced all the fuser and the thermopile and the problem still persists.
I think that should give me SP1-132-012 220 - 240Volt as on all the other machines.
Unfortunately I do not know why the SP told me displays 5V.
This was the reason for the discussion.
I read the manual and I know that this SP is just verification. It is not editable.

Have you replaced the fusing assy yet?

The statement "the following SPs below are designed for the factory use only", means that these are set at the factory by factory engineers. Unless you are a factory engineer and are doing a factory setup in a controlled environment, do not mess with them unless directed to do so by a factory engineer. They are not necessarily the same on all units. If the factory engineers decide that a settings need to be set to something different from the default, as indicated by their test equipment and procedures, they will adjust as needed. That is why each machine has a "Birth Certificate". If you still have the BC, set every according to it, otherwise leave them alone.

The DFU: Stands for: Design/Factory Use only. Do not touch these SP modes in the field.

It can also be interpreted as Don't F*ck Up.

AW100124 would either be thermistor or thermostat.

I would likely do this as well. If you changed the thermisters and thermopile, i would change the hot roller sleeve assembly and check the lamp as well for continuity. If you have another fuser from another machine you could try that and make sure it works.

I also believe you have to run sp 5810 to reset the fusing SC or the code wont go away even with the new parts.
