    Mp 6002 - ld 360 toner hopper

    WHAT CAN BE DONE TO STOP THEM FROM SPRAYING TONER FROM THE HOPPER ASSEMBLY? EVEN DROPS TONER WHEN OPENING TO ACCESS TONER BOTTLE.

    there is a tech bulletin from 6/2014 you might want to look at.

        That doesnt seem to be what mine are doing. It looks like a seal or something like that in the toner hopper assembly itself.

          I've experienced this on every Ricoh with this type of toner delivery system since the 6645 (A096). Clean the cup out frequently and keep a wiper handy for the spills right below it. SOP for Ricohs. The B003 series was worse than this model for toner spills.

              Bit of a common problem this. I agree with the other techi who said clean the cup out. Normally what I do every 200k copies or so is remove the entire hopper unit , empty everything into a bin and then completely vacuum everything.

              This reduces the spills and keeps everything clean, which is also important for the motor that drives the toner bottle. The last thing you want is that motor to stop working just because of a simple clean up.
