    MPC5502 SC552-03

I have a machine that is displaying some weird problems. It's a MPC 5502 with around 290k(127k color and 171k B/W) total that is throwing a SC552-03/02 every Thursday morning at 7:45 am for the past month. I have the machine programmed to auto turn on at that time. Fuser is in great shape as well as machine in general.

Any ideas? So weird it's only Thursday's at turn on and only the past month (machine has been in place since May)

Thanks for any support you can provide.

Sounds far fetched but something on the same ring main could be switching on at that time, drawing too much current and stopping the machine warming up as quickly as it should. For a start I'd just replaced the thermistors first and fit a surge protector.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

We have NextGen PCS power filters connected to most of our machines, they also function as line monitors. The PCS's save all of the under/over voltages, you can connect to it with your laptop and view and print the report. If you had it at that location, it would probably be easy to see what was causing that problem.

If you had one, you could loan it to them till it coded, then go pull the report.

Update firmware, some older firmware had issues coming out of energy saver and/or auto shutoff.

You can confirm by disabling auto shutoff on machine for a few days.
