    SC300 on MP1350

I have a customer with 2 MP1350's (print shop) who keeps having SC300 errors. I completely rebuilt both charge assemblies, and the problem came back in >10k. Replacing the assemblies fixed the problem for about 500k. Rebuilding the assy again didn't help again. The PM's are kept up to date, and the machines have slightly over 2M each. Copy quality is great until the units fail, then I get a copy jammed in the machine half perfect, half dark wavy lines (sort of like you get from a bad dirty charge but much worse) and the machine shuts down. It seems pretty obvious the charge assy is arcing, the question is why.

Has anybody else seen this, and more importantly is there anything I can do about it.

I had a 2090 do the same thing for awhile. I hadn't found a fix other than replacing the unit. After the first one I started grabbing them out of lease return 2060's when I needed one. I'm guessing you aren't getting any other background codes? Have you checked the charge voltage? Is it very high? How close to yield is the drum?
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

      Hi Shadow
A dirty drum filter can cause this - quite often overlooked on PMs.

Yep, Fridgemagnet is right, only a Vacuum cleaner expert would look at that, it´s a good tip, you could try this: PCB Relay Safety Switch B234 5440, you could aslo check to see if you got any SC304, SC306 registered in your latest SCs.

Drum Life 2,000,000 images, so it look like your drum has come to and end.

Might have a problem with the CGB power pack.

try to replace the duct filter at dev unit..... it has a modifacation part number.... this is the cause while toner spell at charge unit....
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Drums on both units have been replaced for various reasons and have less than 700k each. The charge units are clean when they fail although the precharge wire usually could use a good cleaning (gotta love the manual cleaner - could somebody slap the engineer for me) Hadn't even thought of the Drum Filter - I'll check it on the next service call...

Went back for a look at the drum filters - dirty but not plugged. Cleaned them, and we'll know in about 2 weeks if that helped... They are running ballots for the Nov 4 election 12+ hours a day

Also watch out for preprinted paper. Certain types of printers ink will cook off and contaminate the coronas.

I was having the same problem shadow... i replaced developer again and detailed and replaced the tx belt and blade. Customer checked the charge units yesterday for me and he said they are shiny bright and new with no DUST! FYI!
