Mpc5000 test pattern could not be prnted

Hi good day


In an mpc5000 when trying to print photos or other documents the red leaves orange.


In maintenance when trying to make calibration adjustment does not allow it.


I'm going to sc 2111-c I run it appears complete


But does not allow calibration adjustment.






Clean, change, ID.
The toner density is very good,.


Again 2111 c or whatever

If you run full MUSIC does it pass or fail? If it fails what is the result reading e.g 10111111 this will help diagnose your issue

Everything you are describing tells me there is insufficient toner density. If your reds are orange then your magenta cannot have sufficient density.

The toner density is very good

What makes you think this ? I don't think so. Try doing a forced toner cycle a couple of times for all toners, and try again. I bet you the calibration and 2111 will work. Seen it many times.

If this does not work, you may have a problem with bias voltages for the magenta. My guess would be that either there is a bind in the magenta transfer roller in the ITB causing it to not lift properly against the belt or the ITB bias is bad. If you have another machine available, swap ITB assemblies and see if the problem move with the ITB.

2111 'c' (2111-3) adjustment is a coarse adjustment, you have to follow with 'a' (2111-1) fine adjustment. Had the same thing happen to me a couple weeks ago with calibration failing.

have you clean your ID senors there are 4 of them and if dirty will not calibrate. Will have to take out transfer unit and pull out blk and magenta drum/devlp units assy. there is a bar you have to slide to see sensors then clean them with a cotton swab.

id sensors look in service manual page 219 will show you were they are and how to clean them

If tray 1 is set for anything other than normal paper, it will give the message "test pattern could not be printed".

tray one is 8 1/2 by 11 or a4 you said color was off so its trying to align colors up but cant . someone posted earlier on color alignment how to do that. last thing it could be is laser unit mirror hung up hopefully not that. service manual page 154 will help with running color alignment and check results.

If tray 1 is set for anything other than normal paper, it will give the message "test pattern could not be printed".

in manual said if image is normal but color registration is off could be shutter solenoid not working. If you swap magenta pcu assy already and same problem almost sounds like laser unit, but check shutter first and try test pattern. service mode 2-109-3-19 print check flag pattern select color mode in copy mode did it print ok. then try 2-109-5 1 does all color 2 mag 3 yellow and 4 cyan print same pattern does it print properly.
