    C5502 Long wait on copying

Hi, All. I have a C5502 that has a long wait time when copying. After the original is scanned (text/photo), the machine will say processing for 20 to 30 seconds before actual paper feed starts. This happens every time. This machine is replacing a C3300 that starts feeding paper immediately after the copies are scanned, and assuredly the customer will ask about it. I am probably missing something simple. I have included non-default data, but nothing stands out as the cause as far as I can see. Is this normal for this model?

    Hi there!
Had this only on 2 boxes, in both cases there was one of the 3 heatlamps in the sleeveroller-assy blown. Hope this helps.
    Greetings...

I concur, sounds like the fuser is taking its time warming up.

Does it take a while to print as well? If not, you could try clearing the Copier Application memory.

It was exactly the case. Popped a new fuser in and all is well. Thanks for the assist on this one. I expect it would have taken some time to sort this one out by myself, and time is at a premium this week. Good call, Z (and Ruben). One would think that a blown lamp would lead to an sc code like on my other C5502's, but not in this case. Go figure. You guys have a great weekend.
