[Misc] MP C4500 PC units not set correctly error

    Hello all.
We are just having strange issue with this MP C4500 machine.
About every few day, machine just display "PC conductors not set correctly...", not indicates any K, M, Y, or C. So, We show up at customer site, open front door, then close front again, --> it started work correctly.
Later, customer called back with the same issue, but they have to turn off/on machine couple of time, open/close front door, then out of blue, it work.
Then, we came, remove all PC units, clean all connectors, even on the machine side, machine seem to work fine while we running around 100 copies testing.
A week later, customer called back, same issue just came back, sometime 3 times a day, need to turn off/on machine, open/close front door to get it to work...
It is really annoying when it just happen much more frequent...
    Any idea ???

Have you rebuilt any of the PCUs with a modified 2042 or 2256? Could be the connector hasn't been filed down fully, and as the machine vibrates the PCU could be just moving enough to be pushed out of the socket inside the machine.

This issue also occurs when the PCU to Dev unit connector isn't seated tightly

Just pray you haven't got any broken connectors in the drive assembly. This occurs when people 'mod' drums and don't cut or file the connector enough.
