Most likely you have manually selected the paper tray and do not have the original oriented the same direction as the paper in the selected tray. When you nanually select the paper source, auto rotate image is off.

One of the original width sensors in the ADF may have failed and it's misdetecting the paper size. Check them in ADF input check.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Sometimes, but not on every copy

With the ADF, when I put more paper, and on the landscape copy all ok, but the portrait does not

Have you done the basics (clean optics, clean lazer glass)
if you run a test print in sp mode do you get the same fault

if you use a black pen to write in the area what result do you get

I cleaned dustproff glass and optics, laser glass did not touch. When you print the list of counters, everything is seen as it has no problem. And when I put the test print page to copy on the glass, missing me at the top and bottom sheet. I've given people on a piece of paper to sign (in blue ballpoint were signed), and that I put in the ADF to copy the portrait, when the copy came out almost nothing has been seen. I asked two pictures at the beginning of the above, perhaps you can see.

I cleaned the dustproof glass, a copy is then improved, but not completely

A copy of such copy remains quite good, but when we are certain signatures in the bottom of the paper, that's my problem, because you can not see the whole

if you use the manual adjust and darken the copy do you get a complete image

if printed pages are good the fault is most likely within the optics
check all mirrors and lamp are clean
check all mirrors are sitting in holders correctly
clean the white reference strip on the under side of the glass

(on every service visit it is advisable to clean the laser glass)
