[Error Code] SC 325 on MP C406.

Has anyone had this code on a Mpc 406. SC 325. Something to do with the color dev motor. Tried the easy things like reseat connectors, firmware and replaced all the pcu's. Just trying to gather info before I open the back up.

Not seen 325 before. Does the motor run in output mode or does it throw the code the second it tries to move?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

The code is always there from startup to shutdown. Ive tried to test the output and i can hear a noise in the back so i assume the motor is turning but its not turning the devs. There is one motor for black and one motor for the colors.

That sounds ominous. Try putting a little Tipp-ex mark on the mag roller drive gears on each PCDU and see which one, if any, moves. Could be a shredded gear in the drive unit.

You can also cheap the front door etc & visually see if the PCDU's are driving

Will do guys thanks for your tips. Will post solution when I go back on Monday. I suspect the drive unit myself. Real pain to get it out.

Guys just an update on this trouble shooted further. No color devs turning. Checked and took out drive assembly all looks ok, thought maybe a belt fell off or something seized. Unfortunately there were no color devs motors in stock. Have to wait till tomorrow. Only things left are the color dev motor and bcu. Anyone else come across this? Already replaced all pcu's.

Ok guys machine no longer has sc 325. For me it ended up beng the dev colour motor. I can see these blowing a lot. One motor to drive all three colour developers. There is a lot of torque this motor has to try to move.

Had the same code on same model and it was the colour dev motor as well.
